When you see liars, gossipers, or hypocrites in church, don’t be surprised — be thankful. That’s where they’re supposed to be. You don’t shame a bleeding man for going to the ER.
😬 Hypocrisy Doesn’t Make Truth Invalid
Yes, there are fake Christians. Yes, there are backstabbers. But that doesn’t change who Jesus is.

Jesus Himself called out religious hypocrisy. He didn’t quit the faith because of them — and neither should you.
🪞 Self-Examination > Blame Culture
We live in a time where it’s easier to point fingers than look in the mirror. But the Bible is clear:
📖 “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.”

📖 “Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but do not consider the plank in your own eye?”
— Matthew 7:3
Let’s get real: some of the chaos we deal with isn’t always “someone else’s fault.” Sometimes we enabled it. Sometimes we looked the other way. Sometimes we gossiped, or stayed silent when God told us to speak.
🧠 The Modern “Self-Love” Gospel
In 2 Timothy 3, Paul warns us about the end times:
📖 “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy…”

God says: “Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)
💔 Accountability Isn’t Judgment — It’s Love
We’ve replaced conviction with comfort. Instead of saying, “I’m sorry, I was wrong,” we say, “Don’t judge me.”
📖 “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”

Calling someone out in love isn’t hate — it’s grace. Real love tells the truth, even when it’s hard.

- Are you holding the church to a standard you yourself don’t meet?
- Are you blaming others while ignoring your own junk?
- Have you been chasing comfort instead of truth?
The Church isn’t a building — it’s people. And people are messy. That includes you. That includes me. But thank God for His grace.

Lord, I confess I’m imperfect. I’ve blamed others when I should’ve looked at myself. I’ve gossiped, lied, or judged. I’ve avoided accountability and excused sin. Today I ask You to cleanse my heart. Help me be the kind of person You call the Church to be. And let me never forget — it’s not perfection that saves me, it’s You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
