We live in a world flooded with lies, and the hardest pill to swallow is that many of us are still buying into them. We’ve been taught to scoff at holiness, mock obedience, glorify rebellion, and suppress conviction. But if you’re reading this, it’s not too late.

✨ God Is Still in Control — So What Happened?
Colossians 1 tells us who Jesus really is. It’s crystal clear:
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation… in Him all things hold together.” (Col. 1:15–17)
So if Christ holds all things together, why does everything feel like it’s falling apart?
Because we are the ones who separate ourselves from Him.
We live in a culture that teaches you to “do you” — no matter the consequences. We glorify selfishness, hypersexuality, self-worship, and violence — and then wonder why everything feels empty, anxious, and broken.
📉 Real Stats. Real Issues.
Let’s take a hard look at what modern culture has produced:
- Depression & Anxiety: Over 280 million people suffer from depression worldwide. Suicide is the 4th leading cause of death among 15–29-year-olds. (WHO)
- Porn Addiction & Lust: 35% of all internet downloads are pornographic. 64% of Christian men and 15% of Christian women admit to watching porn at least once a month. (Fight The New Drug)
- Broken Families: In the U.S., nearly 1 in 2 marriages end in divorce. Children raised without fathers are more likely to drop out of school, use drugs, and be incarcerated. (CDC)
- Mental Illness: Cases of bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia are rising globally. Over 1 in 5 adults experience some form of mental illness each year in the U.S. (NIMH)
🤯 A Society with a Seared Conscience
We’ve replaced repentance with self-help. We’ve traded conviction for comfort. “Don’t judge me” has replaced “help me grow.” Even among Christians, we see:
“…Having their conscience seared with a hot iron.” — 1 Timothy 4:2
We medicate symptoms, but never address the root — sin.
Modern psychiatry is a practice. That’s not an insult — it’s literally what they call it. “Practice.” Try this and see. Guess and check. Mask it. Manage it. But what if healing doesn’t come from within? What if the solution is in surrender?
💥 No One Escapes Accountability — Not Even You
Billy Graham once said:
“If you ever find a perfect church, don’t join it — you’ll mess it up.”
There are no perfect people. No perfect churches. But we are without excuse. We must examine ourselves.
“Each of us will give an account of himself to God.” — Romans 14:12
“Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” — James 1:22
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…” — Isaiah 5:20
If you’ve been sitting on the fence or even mocking the faith — maybe it’s not because God failed you. Maybe it’s because you were handed a counterfeit.
🧠What You Feed Your Mind Grows
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” — Colossians 3:2
“To be spiritually minded is life and peace.” — Romans 8:6
Culture feeds the flesh — nonstop. Music, media, entertainment — it glorifies lust, rage, pride, greed, and rebellion. But where has that gotten us? Look at the numbers.
Jesus said:
“You will know them by their fruit.” — Matthew 7:16
And the fruit of today’s society is rotten.
🙏 Final Word: Pray, Believe, Repent
If you or someone you love is battling depression, trauma, addiction, or confusion — you are not alone. Jesus is not a myth or a metaphor. He’s the way, the truth, and the life.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36
🔥 Final Prayer
Lord God Almighty,
We confess our sins and turn from the lies we’ve believed. We repent of every wicked thought, every indulgence of the flesh, every time we looked the other way. We surrender it all to You.
By the blood of Jesus Christ, we ask for deliverance — not only for ourselves, but for our families. Cancel every generational curse. Break every bondage. Erase every lie.
We declare freedom from anxiety, depression, fear, and addiction. We proclaim boldness to stand for truth, no matter the cost. Use us, Lord — not just to pray, but to act. To take out the trash. To fight for holiness. To bring light into darkness.
