Grace

Grace

God has shown us amazing grace. That’s why there’s a song! We as humans are in a fallen state and must become born again. We can’t and won’t make it to heaven just because we think we are good or do good things. The only way to heaven is through Christ.

Let’s see what the Bible says about Grace.

Titus 2:11-14

English Standard Version

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works

To be zealous is to be enthusiastic. It’s good to do the right thing but we got to have the right motive, and that motive should be: to do God’s will. We may not always know what his will is, but we can certainly understand that his will is not for us to be out of control, sloppy, and ungodly, amen?

We are purified from out sins from the blood of Christ but we must preserve our pureness with holiness and not taint it with worldliness.

Romans 6:12-14

English Standard Version

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

How many of us have heard a message that God loves us just how we are? It’s true. He sacrificed himself in human form for our sake. How much do you love him though? Are you going to live a life and break his heart? Or are you going to live a life pursuing him through holiness and righteousness?

Hebrews 10:26-27

26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.

This type of message is very unpopular. God wants you to come to him how you are but you have to allow him to make the changes in your life. Yes we are going to make mistakes and we must always repent! We are set free by the truth and we must not go back to being slaves to sin.

Please don’t abuse God’s grace and I pray this message is received by someone who needs it.
