Deep down you know…

The Law Written on the Heart: Why Morality Is Not Relative

Every human being knows right from wrong. Not because society taught it. Not because culture voted on it. But because God Himself wrote it into us.

Romans 2:14–15 (ESV)
“For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves… They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness…”

This explains why guilt exists even when no one is watching. This explains why children instinctively say, “That’s not fair.” This explains why every civilization condemns murder, theft, and betrayal.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (ESV)
“He has put eternity into man’s heart…”

God placed eternity — and morality — inside every human soul.

Moral Relativism Is a Lie

Modern culture claims morality is “relative.” But that lie collapses the moment someone is wronged.

If morality were relative:

  • Genocide could never be called evil
  • Human trafficking would be a “cultural preference”
  • Child abuse would be a “difference of opinion”

Yet everyone knows these things are evil.

Isaiah 5:20 (ESV)
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…”
Deuteronomy 30:19 (ESV)
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse…”

There is no middle ground. The so-called “gray area” is where Satan negotiates obedience away.

The Last Days Are Not Coming — They’re Here

2 Timothy 3:1–5 (ESV)
“In the last days… people will be lovers of self, lovers of money… lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.”

Look around:

  • Social media rewards narcissism
  • Self-love replaces repentance
  • Pleasure is worshiped
  • Truth is called hate

According to recent studies, anxiety and depression are at historic highs despite unprecedented comfort and technology. Suicide remains a leading cause of death among young adults. Addiction rates continue to rise.

The Bible warned us — and it was right.

Churches With Itching Ears

2 Timothy 4:3–4 (ESV)
“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching… and will turn away from listening to the truth…”

Many churches no longer preach repentance, holiness, or sin — because truth doesn’t sell well.

Instead, they preach comfort, affirmation, and self-esteem — because it fills seats and offering plates.

But Jesus never preached for popularity.

Carry Your Cross — Every Day

Luke 9:23 (ESV)
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

Christianity is not self-improvement. It is self-denial.

We are called to forgive. We are called to repent. We are called to obey.

1 Peter 1:15–16 (ESV)
“As he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct… ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’”

Jesus Is the Only Way

Many world religions mention Jesus.

Jesus mentions no alternatives.

John 14:6 (ESV)
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Exodus 20:3 (ESV)
“You shall have no other gods before me.”

Everything else is an idol or a false god.

Final Prayer — Repentance, Surrender, Deliverance

Pray this sincerely:

Father God, I come to You just as I am. I repent of my sins — in my actions, my thoughts, and my heart. I turn away from pride, lust, bitterness, fear, and rebellion.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I renounce every lie I’ve believed. I break agreement with sin, addiction, and deception.

Jesus, I surrender completely. You are Lord. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Make me holy — because You are holy.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
