Train Like a Champion – 1 Timothy 4

Hey fam,

Let’s keep it real—there’s a spiritual war going on, and YOU are in the middle of it. You’ve probably felt it. Social media, school pressure, family drama, anxiety, depression—it’s all stacking up.

  • 57% of teens struggle with anxiety or depression (CDC, 2023).
  • 1 in 3 teen girls seriously considered suicide in the last year.
  • Average screen time is over 7.5 hours/day (Common Sense Media).
  • Only 3% of teens read the Bible daily.

1 Timothy 4:8 says: “…train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way…”

You train for a sport, a test, even your TikTok game—but do you train your soul? You don’t have to be perfect, but you have to be plugged in. You’re not “too young.” Verse 12 says: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young…”

It starts with a choice. Choose Jesus. Choose truth. Choose life.

PRAYER: God, I want more of You. Take away the junk in my heart and give me a hunger for truth. Use me to be light in a dark world. Fill me with Your Spirit, and help me live it out. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Seamos sinceros: hay una guerra espiritual y TÚ estás en el centro. Lo has sentido. Redes sociales, presión escolar, dramas familiares, ansiedad, depresión—todo se acumula.

  • 57% de los adolescentes luchan con ansiedad o depresión (CDC, 2023).
  • 1 de cada 3 chicas consideró seriamente el suicidio el último año.
  • El tiempo promedio frente a pantallas es de 7.5 horas/día (Common Sense Media).
  • Solo el 3% de los adolescentes leen la Biblia a diario.

1 Timoteo 4:8 dice: “…ejercítate en la piedad; porque el ejercicio físico es de poco provecho, pero la piedad es útil para todo…”

Te preparas para deportes, exámenes, hasta para tu contenido, pero ¿entrenas tu alma? No tienes que ser perfecto, pero sí estar conectado. No eres “demasiado joven.” Versículo 12 dice: “Que nadie te menosprecie por ser joven…”

Todo comienza con una decisión. Elige a Jesús. Elige la verdad. Elige la vida.

ORACIÓN: Dios, quiero más de Ti. Quita la basura de mi corazón y dame hambre por la verdad. Úsame para ser luz en este mundo oscuro. Lléname con Tu Espíritu y ayúdame a vivir en Tu voluntad. En el nombre de Jesús, amén.
