We must unite.

Christ Is Coming Soon: The Urgent Call for Unity in the Body of Christ

As the world grows darker and more chaotic, one thing is becoming increasingly clear—Jesus Christ is coming back soon. The signs are all around us: wars, moral decay, and a growing hostility toward truth. In times like these, we must remember that our mission is not to bicker over denominational differences but to unite under the banner of Christ, preaching His gospel to the ends of the earth.

One Lord, One Faith, One Body

The Bible is clear that believers—regardless of whether they are Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, or otherwise—are part of one body under Christ:

“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” — Ephesians 4:4-6

Satan would love nothing more than to keep Christians divided. If he can get us arguing over non-essential differences, then we are distracted from the Great Commission. But Jesus Himself prayed for our unity:

“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” — John 17:20-21

Jesus made it clear that our unity is a testimony to the world. If the world sees Christians constantly at war with one another, how will they believe in the love and truth of the gospel?

Jesus Is Coming Soon—Are We Ready?

Throughout Scripture, we are reminded that Jesus will return at a time when many are not expecting Him:

“Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” — Matthew 24:44

The Bible describes the last days as a time of deception, lawlessness, and apostasy:

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.” — 1 Timothy 4:1

We are witnessing this today. Many churches have abandoned biblical truth in favor of feel-good messages that tickle ears rather than convict hearts (2 Timothy 4:3-4). But those who truly belong to Christ must stand firm in the faith and proclaim His return.

The Gospel Must Be Preached to All Nations

Before Christ returns, the gospel must be preached to every nation:

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” — Matthew 24:14

This is our mission, and it is far greater than any doctrinal disagreements we may have among ourselves. Instead of arguing over traditions, styles of worship, or minor theological differences, we must focus on making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).

The Holy Spirit Will Guide Us Into Truth

One of the greatest fears many Christians have when working alongside those of other denominations is, “What if they have some wrong beliefs?” While we must always stand on biblical truth, we must also trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to lead and convict.

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” — John 16:13

It is not our job to change people’s hearts—that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Our job is to preach Christ, love one another, and trust that God will reveal His truth to those who genuinely seek Him.

Stop the Fighting and Work Together

Paul warned about unnecessary divisions among believers:

“I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” — 1 Corinthians 1:10

The world is watching. Will they see a church full of strife and division, or will they see a people united in Christ, filled with love, boldness, and the power of the Holy Spirit?

We must repent of our divisions, put away petty arguments, and focus on the mission at hand. Jesus Christ is Lord—this is the message that must be declared to every person on earth.

A Call to Action

Time is short. If you have been caught up in arguments over doctrine rather than preaching the gospel, now is the time to repent.

Let us:
Unite as the body of Christ
Preach the gospel with urgency
Love one another as Christ commanded
Trust the Holy Spirit to lead people into truth
Declare Jesus as Lord to the world

The Bride of Christ must make herself ready (Revelation 19:7). Will we be found faithful and united, or will we be caught in division and distraction?

The King is coming. Let’s be ready.

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” — Revelation 22:20
